Amazing stuff, Katy! Engaging and powerful. Informative and ominous. I personally don't believe anyone should be mucking about in these realms, but I get your motivations and love how you treated you characters with respect. Got yourself another subscriber.
This is so well done. The body of knowledge the protagonist puts down is so vivid with so much authority. Really enjoyed this.
My friend’s little sister OD’d on morphine when I was in college. In high school she was the girl who’d grab a beer for you if you were out. She was like everyone’s little sister.
Sam gave Katie the dose that killed her, but nobody could really prove it. The open casket was horrible. She was in her early 20s, but she looked 45. She’d painted Margaritaville lyrics on window panes. “Wasted away again”... Her parents used them as a backdrop behind her casket.
Thanks for reading and your feedback. I'm very sorry for your friend's sister. Often the people who give so much to other people don't always have enough left over for themselves. And sometimes drugs fill that space.
Thanks again for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I sawed it. Thanks-a-loodio!
I absolutely love this. Thank you
Thank you and thank you reading.
Great edible language... I could taste it, smell it, see it and remember what it was like to be a junkie. Good stuff!
Thanks, Mike! Writing about using is an absolute sensory goldmine.
